While there are hundreds of new features in iOS 11, we were especially excited to see what&#8217;s new with Apple Wallet and Apple Pay &#8211; and we were impressed.<br \/>\nHere&#8217;s everything you need to know with Apple Wallet in iOS 11.<\/p>\n<h3>The Apple Wallet Interface<\/h3>\n<p>Apple Wallet has a new look. Credit cards are still at the top and passes (e.g. loyalty cards, <a href=\"https:\/\/loopyloyalty.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">punch cards<\/a>, boarding passes, coupons, event tickets) are still below the credit cards.<br \/>\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dxjl3qy52c1o9.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/20064923\/1-apple-wallet-ios-11-514x1024.png\" alt=\"1-apple-wallet-ios-11\" width=\"257\" height=\"512\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-11356\" title=\"\"><br \/>\nPasses still have the same format and layout as you can see from this <a href=\"https:\/\/passkit.com\/customers\/best-western\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Best Western digital membership card<\/a>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dxjl3qy52c1o9.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/20065307\/best-western-apple-wallet-membership-cards-passkit-1024x1016.png\" alt=\"best-western-apple-wallet-membership-cards-passkit\" width=\"512\" height=\"508\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-11357\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>Edit Passes<\/h3>\n<p>Scroll down in Apple Wallet to find the &#8216;Edit Passes&#8217; button. Tapping on this will show you a list of all of your passes. If you want to delete unused passes, you can also do so much more easily now.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dxjl3qy52c1o9.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/21020126\/edit-passes-apple-wallet-ios11-1024x1016.png\" alt=\"edit-passes-apple-wallet-ios11\" width=\"512\" height=\"508\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-11371\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>The camera app scans QR codes<\/h3>\n<p>Now, the native camera app in iOS 11 can scan QR codes. Simply open Camera, point to a QR code, and tap on the notification to open the pass URL in Safari.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dxjl3qy52c1o9.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/21014810\/ios11-camera-scan-qr-codes-apple-wallet.gif\" alt=\"ios11-camera-scan-qr-codes-apple-wallet\" width=\"301\" height=\"535\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11370\" title=\"\"><br \/>\nHaving QR code scanning capabilities within camera has just made it 10x easier for customers to install passes.<br \/>\nYou can also launch the camera app to scan QR codes from the &#8216;Edit Passes&#8217; view.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dxjl3qy52c1o9.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/21021135\/edit-passes-scan-code-apple-wallet-514x1024.png\" alt=\"edit-passes-scan-code-apple-wallet\" width=\"257\" height=\"512\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-11377\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>Apple Wallet built in barcode scanner is removed<\/h3>\n<p>This feature has been removed as the camera app is now capable of scanning barcodes. The blue plus icon you see below allows you to add your credit cards to Apple Pay.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dxjl3qy52c1o9.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/20074459\/apple-wallet-ios-11-add-credit-card-514x1024.png\" alt=\"apple-wallet-ios-11-add-credit-card\" width=\"257\" height=\"512\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-11366\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>Shortcut to Wallet in your Control Centre<\/h3>\n<p>You can now access Wallet directly from your Control Centre.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dxjl3qy52c1o9.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/20073659\/4-apple-wallet-control-center-514x1024.png\" alt=\"4-apple-wallet-control-center\" width=\"257\" height=\"512\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-11363\" title=\"\"><br \/>\nHere&#8217;s how to add Apple Wallet to your Control Centre.<br \/>\n1. Open your Settings app and tap on &#8216;Control Centre&#8217;.<br \/>\n2. Tap on &#8216;Customise Controls&#8217;.<br \/>\n3. Add Wallet to the &#8216;Include&#8217; list.<br \/>\n4. Drag to reorder where you want Apple Wallet to appear.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dxjl3qy52c1o9.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/21021850\/how-to-add-apple-wallet-control-centre-ios11-1024x494.png\" alt=\"how-to-add-apple-wallet-control-centre-ios11\" width=\"1024\" height=\"494\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-11379\" title=\"\"><br \/>\nOnce you swipe up and tap on Wallet, you can instantly access your credit cards for Apple Pay and your passes.<br \/>\nNote: if your phone is locked, you can still swipe up and access wallet.
