{"id":7921,"date":"2015-11-23T14:09:31","date_gmt":"2015-11-23T14:09:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/passkit.com\/blog\/?p=7921"},"modified":"2024-10-13T17:28:23","modified_gmt":"2024-10-13T17:28:23","slug":"weekend-in-tech-trends-27","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/passkit.com\/blog\/weekend-in-tech-trends-27\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekend In Tech Trends"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Tech Trends- Nov 21-22<\/h2>\n<p>Hong Kong takes on Tesla, the mobile Genius Bar, and Facebook becomes your therapist, and more\u00a0in this week\u2019s Weekend in Tech Trends.<\/p>\n<h4>Tech Trends 1) Tesla&#8217;s autopilot no longer available in Hong Kong<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teslamotors.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tesla<\/a> owners in Hong Kong(and trust me, there\u2019s a lot), received some not so good news about their autopilot features. Effective immediately, Hong Kong Transportation Department officials demanded that Tesla\u2019s autopilot features, Autosteer and Auto Lane Change be shut off. The officials deemed the features too distracting for drivers.<br \/>\nTesla sent a letter(featured below) to its Hong Kong owners notifying them that the features would be shut off via an over the air update. The letter also noted that Tesla is \u201coptimistic\u201d that they will receive final approval for the features soon. Here\u2019s his message.<br \/>\n<em>Priscilla and I are starting to get ready for our daughter\u2019s arrival. We\u2019ve been picking out our favorite childhood books and toys.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>We\u2019ve also been thinking about how we\u2019re going to take time off during the first months of her life. This is a very personal decision, and I\u2019ve decided to take 2 months of paternity leave when our daughter arrives.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, outcomes are better for the children and families. At Facebook we offer our US employees up to 4 months of paid maternity or paternity leave which they can take throughout the year.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Every day things are getting a little more real for us, and we\u2019re excited to start this next stage in our lives.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Here\u2019s a photo of Beast with our baby seat. They won\u2019t show up on your Newsfeed and Facebook won\u2019t ask you to message them or tag them in a photo. They also allow you to hide your posts from your ex. This way they won\u2019t be reminded of you and start messaging you again. It shows it\u2019s features and benefits regarding security, easiness of set up, and paying within apps.
