The latest addition in Hololens tech is called Holoportation, and it is as cool as it sounds.
Microsoft’s I3D research group can now transport a hologram of a person in one room into an entirely different room, where a Hololens user can see them as if they were actually standing there in person. It’s incredibly impressive and hard to do justice with words, so you must check out the video below. The Hololens developer edition is set to start shipping in a few days so hopefully we start seeing more projects like this. Check out the video below, I promise it won’t disappoint.

Source: TheVerge

Tech Trends 3) Take a tour of the Batcave via Google Maps

Google Maps now lets you take a gander around Wayne Manor via streetview. Vistors can take a 360 degree tour around the residence which is located in Orion Township, Michigan, on Google Maps. It allows you to stroll through the house and into the Batcave, where you can see the Batmobile along with the other tech that’s in the Batcave. You can also read the over 375 reviews of the residence and Mr. Wayne. Check it out for a decent amount of entertainment.

Take a closer look at the Batmobile when touring Bruce Wayne’s residence via Google Maps.

Source: DigitalTrends

Tech Trends 4) Virgin and Boom want people to commute from New York to London

Virgin and an aerospace startup Boom, are teaming up to build a supersonic jet that could make the trip from New York to London in just 3.5 hours. The planes would have 40 seats, divided into two aisles with one seat per row. They’ll be able to fly at Mach 2.2 (1,451 miles per hour), more than twice as fast as modern commercial airplanes.
More importantly, is the vision that Boom’s founder Blake Scholl for the planes. “Imagine departing from New York at 6AM, and landing at Heathrow by 2:30PM London time,” Scholl told The Guardian. “You’ll be able to make afternoon meetings, you can stay until 9:30PM, have a full productive day, and back in New York at 8PM [local time] so you can tuck your kids into bed.”
As awesome as it sounds, it could be awhile before we ever see the first flight. Boom does not have a prototype yet and there is no timeline set. However, supersonic jets will most likely have a place in the future of air travel.

Boom wants people to commute to London from New York in this supersonic jet.

Source: TheVerge

Tech Trends- Mar 26-27 Android Pay in the UK, Holoportation, take a tour of the Batcave and more in this week’s Weekend in Tech Trends.
