You can browse the menu, order, and pay for meals without ever having to leave Slack. This success comes shortly after SpaceX’s most recent success of landing the Falcon 9 on land.
The ocean landing is extremely critical because SpaceX has said that only one-third of their rockets will be able to land on land. The rest must be landed at sea. Being able to consistently reuse the Falcon 9 rockets for missions will be a major cost savings for SpaceX and allow them to run more missions, faster. Check out the video below to see it in action.

Source: TheVerge

Tech Trends 3) Reddit has launched it’s first official app for Android and iOS

The much awaited offical reddit app has now launched. With over 50 percent of reddit users browsing on mobile, an official app is welcomed with open arms.
This launch also comes with the shutting down of popular reddit third party app, Alien Blue. Reddit says the decision to shut it down was a difficult one, but it was necessary to rebuild an app from the groundup in order to provide the user experience that they wanted. Reddit says they plan to continue to update the app and focus on providing a strong mobile experience for users. Chen admits that the Priv was a mistep for BlackBerry and that they have learned a lot from its release.
“The fact that we came out with a high end phone [as our first Android device] was probably not as wise as it should have been.” He added that the $699 slider phone was “was too high-end a product,” noting that “a lot of enterprise customers have said to us: ‘I want to buy your phone, but $700 is a little too steep for me. I’m more interested in a $400 device.'”
The two new phones are expected to come in somewhere lower than a $500 price point. Regardless, I’m not convinced that BlackBerry will be able to make a full comeback.

This is a blurry leaked image of what the new BlackBerrys could look like.

Source: TheVerge

Tech Trends- April 9-10 Taco Bell slackbot, SpaceX sees success, BlackBerry to give it another try and more in this week’s Weekend in Tech Trends.
