On the 20th of July 2016 Apple Pay was released in Hong Kong, so we decided to document the experience and show it first-hand to our readers. We went to 7-Eleven, Wellcome, Maxim’s cakes and Voi_la wine cellar. Here’s what happened:
A Day with Apple Pay: Maxim’s Cakes in Hong Kong
It was our colleague Duncan’s birthday so we decided to get him a cake. We went Maxim’s cakes to try out Apple Pay for the first time.
A Day with Apple Pay: Voi_la in Hong Kong
Here’s our second Apple Pay video. In this occasion, our colleague Patrick went to buy a bottle of whiskey at Voi_la in Sheung Wan. We did not drink afterwards, I promise 🙂
A Day with Apple Pay: 7-Eleven in Hong Kong
For our third Apple Pay video we wanted to try something different: paying with Apple Watch at 7-Eleven. Our lovely Wendy purchased a bottle of tea. Please notice how the convenient and seamless the experience was.
A Day with Apple Pay: Wellcome in Hong Kong (in Cantonese, English subtitles)
The last video was filmed in Wellcome. Our colleague Kit bought some snacks for the office. Make sure you don’t miss the funny footage at the end.
