Throughout each and everyday here at PassKit, we use a number of tools to get things done. Here are the top 8 tools the employees of PassKit use everyday.
Tool 1) Slack
Slack has changed the game of internal communication. Not only does Slack make having simple one on one conversations easy, but it also keep everyone informed on what’s going on in all parts of the business. Being able to have different channels allows for teams to communicate with each other while eliminating the need to have many different meetings or even to pull someone aside just to share an idea.
Slack also makes file sharing a breeze. Just drag and drop and you’re done. No need to email or use dropbox. Another amazing part of Slack is it’s ability to integrate with other tools. Slack allows for your sales leads, customer inquiries, even your business’s Twitter activity to show up in a Slack channel. Eliminating the need to have so many tabs open in your internet browser.
Tool 2) Google Drive
Google Drive is an essential tool if you work across multiple devices. Whether it’s a word doc or a spreadsheet, Google Drive makes creating and sharing easier than ever before. Google Drive is especially helpful when creating productivity dashboards with other members of your team. You can all edit and view the document at the same time, eliminating the need for saving and allowing you to pick up where you left off on a completely different device.
Tool 3) Google Analytics and Google Adwords
Both of these are must have tools for any marketer. Not only will they provide you with data about your website’s traffic, but they can be used to find the latest trends and keywords pertaining to your industry. The opportunities with Google Analytics and Google Adwords are practically endless, it all comes down to how much time you’re willing to invest into these two mega tools.

Intercom.io is a customer communication platform that integrates directly into your website that allows you to chat with customers as soon as they enter. You can also follow up with leads, get feedback from customers, offer customer support, and even filter and segment each conversation for better data on your customer base.

Trello is an awesome tool for project management and collaboration. It allows your team to have a steady flow of ideas and tasks, while keeping them organized at the same time. Hootsuite is the perfect tool for any social media manager. It allows you to hook up all your social media platforms and view them all in one location. You can then post, schedule posts, view analytics, create campaigns, and even manage ads all from a single dashboard. Hootsuite is a must have when it comes to social media management.
Tool 7) Hemingway Editor
Hemingway Editor is a proofreading tool that checks for more than just misspelled words. Hemingway Editor gives feedback on your sentence structure, length, adverb usage and passive voice. I like to use it to check out my writing level and sentence length. The Hemingway Editor is a good tool to use to make sure you’re communicating on the same level as your readers.
Tool 8) Google Alerts
Google Alerts are an awesome way to stay up to date on competitors and industry news. Simply go to Google Alerts, type in your topic of interest, and set the time you would like to receive. Google will then send an email that consists of the most popular articles for the day regarding each topic. It’s a fast, easy way to stay connected.
